What is "Office Ally Virtual Visits"?
Office Ally Virtual Visits is a telehealth service that adds the ability for patients and providers to complete appointments via video chat.
How will I use the new service?
Will I need to download anything to use the Virtual Visits service? Once you’ve enrolled in Virtual Visits, you will be able to use this service through Practice Mate or EHR 24/7. We recommend using Chrome as your browser for the best experience with Virtual Visits. Depending on what browser you currently use, you may want to
download Chrome
. Otherwise, no downloads are required.
What will I need to conduct a video appointment with my patient?
You will need the following:

Any device with video and microphone capability (smart phone, tablet, computer etc.)

Reliable, hi-speed internet for the duration of the Virtual Visit

A browser that supports the Virtual Visit service (Chrome, Edge, Safari)

Access to your Practice Mate or EHR 24/7 account for the duration of the Virtual Visit
Who can use the Virtual Visits service?
For the Pilot Program, only providers can enroll. Post-Pilot, we will expand access to include other medical personnel.
Will the video appointments be secure and HIPAA compliant?
Our video appointments comply with HIPAA and HITRUST requirements, providing secure channels for handling protected health information. We have added measures such as authentication and all communication is securely encrypted.
When will the service be available?
Before we roll the product out to everyone, we are running a Pilot Program to test the service. The purpose of the Virtual Visits Pilot Group is to get feedback from you to make the service better fit your needs. The Pilot Program will launch early September 2020 and we anticipate it will run 4-8 weeks, at which point we plan to release the service for everybody.

Who can participate in the Virtual Visits Pilot Program?
To qualify, you must meet the following criteria:

Be a provider, from any type of specialty or practice

Have a need for video appointments at your practice

Use Practice Mate and/or EHR 24/7

Be willing to provide feedback about your experience
Is the Pilot Program free?
The Pilot Program is being offered free of charge. In exchange you will be asked to provide feedback which will ultimately shape the final product.
What does participation in the program look like? How will “feedback” work?
The Pilot Program requires that you participate in feedback. You will be emailed short weekly surveys that will take 5-10 minutes to complete. There will be opportunities for optional follow-up conversations as needed.
How long will the Pilot Program be?
We anticipate the duration of the Pilot Program will be 4-8 weeks and will begin in early September 2020. Depending on user feedback the Pilot Program may run shorter or longer.
What happens at the end of the Pilot Program?
You will have the ability to opt in to the paid service or opt out after the Pilot Program is completed.

If you are, the Admin User on your account will be asked to sign a Pilot Program Service Agreement. Once signed we will enable the feature and provide you with a 10 minute demo and supporting training documentation.
