Office Ally Virtual Visits Service
What is "Office Ally Virtual Visits"?
Office Ally Virtual Visits is a telehealth service that adds the ability for patients and providers to complete appointments via video chat.
How will I use the new service?
Will I need to download anything to use the Virtual Visits service? Once you’ve enrolled in Virtual Visits, you will be able to use this service through Practice Mate or EHR 24/7. We recommend using Chrome as your browser for the best experience with Virtual Visits. Depending on what browser you currently use, you may want to download Chrome. Otherwise, no downloads are required.
What will I need to conduct a video appointment with my patient?
You will need the following:
Any device with video and microphone capability (smart phone, tablet, computer etc.)
Reliable, hi-speed internet for the duration of the Virtual Visit
A browser that supports the Virtual Visit service (Chrome, Edge, Safari)
Access to your Practice Mate or EHR 24/7 account for the duration of the Virtual Visit
Who can use the Virtual Visits service?
For the Pilot Program, only providers can enroll. Post-Pilot, we will expand access to include other medical personnel.
Will the video appointments be secure and HIPAA compliant?
Our video appointments comply with HIPAA and HITRUST requirements, providing secure channels for handling protected health information. We have added measures such as authentication and all communication is securely encrypted.
When will the service be available?
Before we roll the product out to everyone, we are running a Pilot Program to test the service. The purpose of the Virtual Visits Pilot Group is to get feedback from you to make the service better fit your needs. The Pilot Program will launch early September 2020 and we anticipate it will run 4-8 weeks, at which point we plan to release the service for everybody.
